Central Sikh Museum adorns portraits of four personalities including Jathedar Vedanti

AMRITSAR: Central Sikh Museum adorns portraits of four personalities including Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti former Jathedar Akal Takht and Shamsher Singh Ashok were adorned here today.

Giani Jagtar Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib and Bibi Jagir Kaur, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee performed the unveiling ceremony in the presence of prominent personalities.

Earlier, Gurbani kirtan was performed by Bhai Gurkirat Singh's group and prayers were offered by Bhai Rajdeep Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Giani Jagtar Singh said that the Central Sikh Museum is a source of Sikh history and it is a great honor to have a portrait of a personality adorned here.

He thanked Bibi Jagir Kaur and the Interim Committee for the decision to post pictures of the four prominent personalities of the Sikh community.

Speaking on the occasion SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur said that it was a matter of pride for the Central Sikh Museum to have a picture decorated in honor of Sikh personalities who have made special contribution to the nation, country and society.

She said that Jathedar Vedanti had served the Panth for 43 years and similarly Sant Giani Mohan Singh , Jathedar Duleep Singh Malunangal and The services of Shamsher Singh Ashok are also incomparable.
