CHANDIGARH: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia today lauded Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mahila Wing president Priti Malhotra for staging a dharna to protest against the imposition of outsiders on AAP workers and appealed to Punjabis to support her in the interest of the State.
In a statement here, Mr Bikram Majithia said “Priti Malhotra has raised her voice against the loot of Punjab at the hands of outsiders and the discrimination being meted out to local workers. She has rightly pointed out that outsiders from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh who have no link with the State are being given all important responsibilities and Punjabis are being forced to work as their slaves. This is not only demeaning but strikes at the very honour and pride of Punjabis”.
Appealing to members of the Mahila Wing as well as AAP workers to stand with Priti Malhotra, the SAD leader said “the woman leader has taken a conscious decision to put Punjab and Punjabis first. The AAP rank and file must learn from it and move for real ‘badlav’ instead of rallying behind fake revolutionaries and corrupt leaders of Delhi who were looting the resources of Punjab to fill their own coffers”.
