PHAGWARA:Punjab Minister for Social Justice, Medical Education and Research Dr. Raj Kumar Verka has said that Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's dream can only come true with the expansion of education, for which we need to pay special attention to the education of future generations.
He Laid the foundation stone of Ambedkar International School. He was accompanied by Punjab Agro Chairman S. Joginder Singh Mann (Cabinet Rank), MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal was also present.
Dr. Verka said that Dr. Ambedkar described education as the basis of development of the society, under which the Punjab government has given special emphasis on the expansion of education.
He said that people belonging to the weaker sections should focus on the education of their children. It will be a true tribute to Ambedkar.
He also said that for the first time Under the leadership of Charanjit Singh Channi, historic steps have been taken to provide plots of 5 marlas to the weaker sections of the society, waive electricity bills.
On the occasion, the Bharat Ratna was presented by the Cabinet Minister. Flowers of devotion were also offered on the statue of BR Ambedkar.
Earlier, MLA S. Dr. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal Welcoming Rajkumar Verka, he said that this school would be of great benefit not only to the students of Phagwara but also the surrounding areas.
On this occasion Dr. Ambedkar Trust for Education and Learning Chairman Harbhajan Suman, Dr. S. Rajan President, SDM Kulpreet Singh and others were present.
