Army jawan Amarpal Singh's last rites performed with full respect

GURDASPUR: 23-year-old soldier Amarpal Singh, a resident of village Wazirpur in Dinanagar, who died in the line of duty, was cremated with full honor this evening. Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur Mr. Mohammad Ishfaq, S.S.P. Gurdaspur Mr. Deepak Hillori, SDM. Dinanagar Mr. Vikramjit Singh and other officials also joined.

Expressing grief to the bereaved family, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ishfaq said that the untimely death of Indian Army jawan Amarpal Singh is very painful and he expresses deep condolences and sorrows to the bereaved family on behalf of the Punjab government and the district administration. He said that we are very proud of our army personnel who are always stationed on the borders to protect the country from the enemy.

The Deputy Commissioner said that some mischievous elements are deliberately spreading false propaganda against the Indian Army regarding this death which cannot be tolerated.

He said that some people were misleading the victim's family by dividing them and they also staged dharna, but later after the district administration explained to the family, the dharna was lifted with the consent of the family.

The Deputy Commissioner said that he is deeply saddened by the death of the soldier and stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. He said that the doubts of the family will be removed.
