AMRITSAR: The Armed Forces Flag Day Awareness Cycle Rally arrived at the Defense Services Welfare Department office here today where the Superintendent of the Office Mr. Sukhbir Singh welcomed the rally.
This cycle rally left for Amritsar from where it will complete the next stages and will end on 07th December 2023 on the occasion of Flag Day back at Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh.
Superintendent Sukhbir Singh said that the youth of Punjab have always served the country by joining the armed forces to maintain the unity and integrity of the country. He said that this cycle rally will instill patriotism among the youth and motivate them to join the security forces. He said that the main objective of this rally is to spread awareness among the people about the sacrifices made by the soldiers for the protection of the country, instill a sense of patriotism in the youth and encourage them to join the armed forces. He said that along with this, the purpose of this cycle rally is to inform the residents of the state about Flag Day and encourage them to contribute more.
The superintendent said that this cycle rally will be held on 16 November 2023 from Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum Amritsar at 10:00 am Brigadier Harcharan Singh VSM. The Arjuna awardee will be flagged off and sent to Tarn Tarn.
