Akhand Path started by SGPC as a token of gratitude for the victory of the peasant struggle

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has started Akhand Path at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall within Golden Temple complex here on Saturday as a token of gratitude for the victory of Kisan Sangharsh.

Yesterday, the Interim Committee of the SGPC chaired by Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami decided to honor the farmers leaders on the occasion of paying obeisance at Golden Temple, in view of which this Akhand Path Sahib has been inaugurated.

At the start of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Shiromani Committee member Baldev Singh Kaimpur, Secretary of the Shiromani Committee. Mahinder Singh Ahli, Additional Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, Deputy Secretary Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, . Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Gurmeet Singh Butter, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Superintendent Malkit Singh Bahirwal, Manager Narinder Singh was present.

Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Mahinder Singh Ahli and Mr. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna said that on the occasion of return of the struggling farmers sitting on the borders of Delhi after the repeal of anti-farmer black laws, the farmers leaders were arriving at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib on December 13 to give thanks.

He said that the farmers would be honored by the SGPC on their arrival here. This honor will be conferred by the President of the Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami after the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.
