Akal Takht Jathedar express grave sorrow over the death of SGPC member Sarwan Singh Kular

AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar of Akal Takht highest seat of sikh religion has expressed grave sorrow over the death of Mr Sarwan Singh Kular member of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and said that it is big loss to Sikh panth. He prayed to Waheguru for peace of departed soul .
Meanwhile president SGPC Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the demise of Sarwan Singh Kular and said that Sarwan Singh Kular was a dedicated personality of the Khalsa Panth, who always spoke about the concerns of the Panth. He also played an important role in the administrative functions of the Shiromani Committee and always gave guidance for the progress of the organization.
Sarwan Singh Kular's last rites will be performed tomorrow on September 28 at his native village Kular on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road at 3 pm.
Shiromani Committee offices and educational institutions were kept closed as a sign of mourning.
A condolence meeting of SGPC was held in memory of Sarwan Singh Kular and tributes were paid to the departed soul.
On this occasion, prayers were offered by chanting Mul Mantra and Gur Mantra. Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami who arrived at the condolence meeting said. Remembering the Panthak services of Sarwan Singh Kular, he termed his death as a great Panthak loss.
He said that Kular was a sincere person with a reclusive nature, whose demise has caused a great loss to the institution and the family.
