Akal Takht Jathedar emphasises the need to preserve contemporary history in written and oral form

MEHTA CHOWK: The 37th Great Martyrdom Ceremony Dedicated to the Holy Remembrance of 14th Head of Thamdami Taksal Immortal Martyr Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale and All Martyrs of Ghallughara of June '84 here today under the leadership of Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of the Damdami Taksal and president of the Sant Samaj, the celebration was celebrated with full devotion, enthusiasm and exaltation.

Despite the Corona epidemic, the Sikh community remained in good spirits and after the martyrdom week ceremonies, thousands of people participated in the martyrdom ceremonies and flowers were presented to the martyrs.

Giani Gurbachan Singh, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, said that Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of Damdami Taksal, had erected a memorial to commemorate the history of martyrs of '84.

He said that today the preaching of Bani and Bana is the need of the hour and Damdami Taksal has connected the Sangat with Gurbani through Paath Bodh Samagam.

Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, said that Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale fought for the honor and dignity of the nation and woke up the sleeping nation by his sacrifice.
