AAP's existence short lived, dearth of new faces exposes political and moral bankruptcy: Raja Warring

CHANDIGARH: While addressing the media, PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring condemned the electoral approach adopted by the Aam Aadmi Party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Warring raised poignant observations regarding the nomination of sitting Punjab Government Ministers by AAP rather than introducing fresh faces as candidates.

He quipped – “A party which once promoted an ideology where they wished to provide people from humble backgrounds a chance to work for the people and be able to address ground issues properly, has now simply given tickets to Congress turncoats, Sitting Punjab Government Ministers, and friends of the Punjab Chief Minister. Thus, AAP has completely backtracked from their so called AAM ideology in the state of Punjab. A party serving Punjab for the past two years could not find a single volunteer capable enough to be their candidate for the upcoming elections and had to field their khas leaders.”

Raja Warring remarked, "It is very comic to observe the Aam Aadmi Party and its leadership making ambitious assertions of clinching all 13 parliamentary seats in Punjab while failing to present a diverse array of candidates for the impending elections. This unsubstantiated bravado serves as a testament to the AAP's apprehension and trepidation in light of prevailing survey results, indicating an overwhelming victory for the Congress party in Punjab."

Furthermore, Warring emphasized, "It is evident that the AAP's purported 13-0 proclamation which implied 13 triumphs for the Aam Aadmi Party now indicates none for the party. The hurried nomination process, resulting in the selection of incumbent ministers, along with the defection of two former cong leaders, underscores the lack of substantive groundwork during Badlaav tenure. Their earlier electoral success appears to be a mere anomaly, poised to be rectified in the forthcoming elections, as well as in 2027."

Responding to inquiries regarding Ms. Preneet Kaur, Warring clarified, "I had previously indicated Preneet Kaur's disassociation from the Congress party. Her subsequent alignment with the BJP merely affirms our prior assessment. Our decision to refrain from nominating her for a ticket, albeit respecting her stature, has always remained firm."

In conclusion, the PPCC Chief affirmed, "The Congress party remains committed to the meticulous selection of competent candidates, combining both seasoned expertise and youthful vigor. Our final roster will be meticulously curated under the auspices of the high command. I am diligently working towards securing victory across all 13 constituencies, ensuring that the people of Punjab are duly represented by the finest candidates in the forthcoming elections."
