Aam Aadmi clinic a revolutionary step to provide better health facilities to the people of the state : Kultar Singh Sandhwan

CHANDIGARH : Appreciating the increase in the number of Aam Aadmi Clinics by the Punjab Government, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that the Aam Aadmi Clinic is a revolutionary step to provide better health facilities to the people of the state and the Bhagwant Mann government is constantly striving to raise the level of health infrastructure so that no person in the state remains deprived of health facilities.

Describing the dedication of five hundred Aam Aadmi Clinics by the state government as a historic step, Mr. Sandhwan said that Aam Aadmi Clinics are a unique scheme across the country to provide health facilities to people. By these clinics treatment facilities are being provided to people at their doorstep. S. Sandhwan said that the day will come soon when the entire population across the state will get treatment without any difficulty.

It is worth noting that to provide the best treatment to the people of the state, the Punjab government has established Dr. B. R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Mohali will cost around Rs 375 crore. Similarly, two new medical colleges are being established at Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur at a cost of Rs 422 crore and Rs 412 crore respectively. It is also proposed to open medical colleges in Malerkotla and Sangrur. To provide the health facilities to the people of the state 880 staff nurses and 81 para medical staff have been recruited. S. Sandhwan said that improving the health infrastructure is the priority of the state government and the Punjab government is working hard in this direction.
