A Gurmat samagam was organized at Shaheed Sikh Missionary College in memory of the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib

AMRITSAR: In memory of the martyrs of the massacre that took place at Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib in the year 1921, a Gurmat ceremony was held at the Shaheed Sikh Missionary College here today. The sikh Missoonary college built by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Students of Shaheed Sikh Missionary College, Panth famous Ragi Jathas performed Gurbani Kirtan and various speakers addressed the congregation in the Gurmat samagam organized in memory of the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib.

In their address, the speakers narrated the history of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib and said that Sikh history is full of warriors who gave martyrdoms following the ideology and principles shown by the Gurus, from whose martyrdom we need to take inspiration. It is worth mentioning that the Shaheed Sikh Missionary College, Sri Amritsar is built in the memory of the martyrs of Saka Sri Nankana Sahib, who owes a great debt to the Sikh community. This college has given many scholars and cult famous Ragi community, who have contributed a lot for the propagation of Sikhism.

During the event, where the cult famous storyteller was honoured, Dr. Kehar Singh was honored with the Principal Ganga Singh Award, while Ragi Bhai Sukhmandar Singh Australia, the former present of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib, was awarded Prof. Avtar Singh ji Naz was awarded with a commemorative award. Principal of the college, Manjit Kaur, thanked the prominent personalities and people who arrived during the function.

On this occasion, member of Shiromani Committee, Jathedar Mangwinder Singh Khapakheri, member of Dharma Prachar Committee. Sukhvarsh Singh Pannu, Secretary. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, former secretary Balwinder Singh Jourasingha, narrator Giani Gurbakhsh Singh Gulshan, former head preacher Bhai Anup Singh, Giani Gurinder Singh Komal, Giani Santokh Singh Austria, in charge. Major Singh Arjan Manga, former principal Dr. Suba Singh, Prof. Baldev Singh, Prof. Ravel Singh, Additional Manager Bikramjit Singh Jhangi, Prof. Kulraj Singh, Bibi Amarjit Kaur, Dr. Jatinder Singh, Giani Praminder Singh, Bhai Dilpreet Singh, S. Jatinderpal Singh, Mr. Gurmail Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh Panvan, s. Rajinder Singh etc. were present.
