CHANDIGARH: In a surprise turn of events, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu today resigned from his post.
It is believed that Sidhu was not happy with allocation of portfolios and appointment of APS Deol as advocate general of Punjab. Deal was lawyer of former DGP Sumedh Singh Saini.
In his resignation letter addressed to Sonia Gandhi, Sidhu wrote "the collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab."
