AMRITSAR : Alumni Association Guru Nanak Dev University is going to organize the 2nd Annual Alumni Meet on March 18, 2016 (Friday) under the leadership of A.S. Brar, Vice Chancellor. Manjit Singh Nijjar, Deputy Chairman, CBS Group, UK & Vice President (Overseas) AAGNDU and Dr. Susheel Mittal, Deputy Director, Thapar University, Patiala & Vice President AAGNDU alongwith other Distinguished Alumni will address the faculty and the alumni.
On this occasion, Gurtej Singh Sandhu, the alumnus of Department of Physics, will be honored as the Distinguished Alumnus of Guru Nanak Dev University, for the Year 2016. Gurtej Singh Sandhu is Director of Advanced Technology developments at Micron Technology Inc., USA. He has pioneered a number of process technologies and has more than 800 U.S. Patents to his credit. He is also a fellow of IEEE.
In the meeting, number of speakers Manjinder Singh Dhillon, Jt. Director General of Foreign Trade, Guljit K. Arora, Principal, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (University of Delhi), Neelam Kamra, former Principal, BBK DAV College Amritsar, Prof. Kamlesh Kanwar, Professor, Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Himachal Pradesh, Susheel Mittal, Fellow of Royal Society & Deputy Director, Thapar University, Patiala and Sukhbir Kaur Mahal, Principal Khalsa College for Women will share their experiences and deliberate on “Future Vision of the University”.
Kuldip Singh, former Dean Alumni & ICCR India Chair, Rajneesh Arora, Managing Director, Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology and Dr. Gurcharan Kaur, Director Placements will discuss the role of alumni in progress of the University.
In the meeting, members for the Executive Council of AAGNDU would also be announced.
