CHANDIGARH: Vedant Garg with six points in the Open category, Vivaan Mittal with six points in the under-13 category and Tavish Bansal with 5.5 points in the Under-9 category emerged as champions in 11th Chandigarh Chess Academy Open & Children Prize Money Chess Festival 2024 here today.
Kasmya Kumari was adjudged the best woman player in the Open category, and Jeenat was the best girl in the under 13 category. Radhya was the best girl in under 9 category and Jiaana Garg was the best girl in the under 7 category. Advay Nayyar was Best Under 7 Boy.
The championship was conducted by the Chandigarh Chess Academy. A total of 160 players from different States of Northern India participated in this Championship. 34 International Rated players participated in this championship.
