Sarai to be built with 1500 rooms for Sangat arriving at Golden Temple :Bibi Jagir Kaur

AMRITSAR:Bibi Jagir Kaur President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee said that the Executive Committee has strongly condemned the ridiculous remarks made by Pracharak Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrian about the spiritual shrine Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
She said that no preacher has the right to speak ill of the historical sites of the Sikh community.
The sentiments of the Sangat have been eroded by the Dhadrians linking Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib with the incident at Singhu Border.
She said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is a common place where people of all faiths visit with devotion. It is not good to instill fear in the sangat towards this holy place.
Jagir Kaur said that Bhai Ranjit Singh should not hurt the faith under the guise of Sikh preaching and should not ignore the historical significance of the holy places.
Meanwhile, Bibi Jagir Kaur also condemned the incident at Singhu Border and demanded an impartial inquiry. She condemned the Lakhimpur Khiri incident and pledged to stand with the families of the victims.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to further expand the Sarais for the Sangat arriving at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
This decision was taken at a meeting of SGPC Interim Committee which was held under the presidentship of Bibi Jagir Kaur here on Tuesday.
During the meeting of the Interim Committee chaired by the President of the SGPC Bibi Jagir Kaur today, the construction of another modern Sarai with about 1500 rooms has been approved.
The Sarai would be constructed at Hansli near Ghee Mandi Chowk on the way to Sri Darbar Sahib.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting of the Interim Committee, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the Kaar seva of the newly constructed house for the pilgrims arriving at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib has been entrusted to Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwalia.
Baba Bhuri will start kaar seva from November one.
She said that a vehicle parking lot would be set up on the ground floor of this five storied house and at the same time a store would be set up for Sri Guru Ramdas Langar to be provided by the Sangat.
Jagir Kaur also said that the old building of Sri Guru Ram Dass School near Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib would be maintained and repaired.

Meanwhile the Interim Committee of the SGPC also approved a 3 per cent increase in the dearness allowance to the employees of the committee. Disclosing this here today Mrs. Jagir Kaur said that apart from this 3 percent increase.
She said that although the financial crisis persisted due to Corona, the salaries of the employees were still maintained. She also lauded the work done by the employees during the corona.
The Interim Committee also chanted Moolmantar and Gurmantar to Shiromani Committee member Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Hakim Satnam Singh who was killed in Pakistan, Ragi Bhai Surinder Singh Jodhpuri, Principal Bibi Supinder Kaur who was killed in Jammu and Kashmir and farmers who were killed in Lakhimpur incident. Tribute paid.
