Oxygen plant with capacity of 500 LPM started at Phagwara

PHAGWARA:The first Pressure Swings Assumption based oxygen plant of Kapurthala has been started at Phagwara Civil Hospital with a capacity of 500 LPM. (Liters per minute) today. This will supply oxygen to Phagwara Civil Hospital and with the fulfilment of oxygen shortage the fight against covid and other medical services will be greatly improved.

The plant was inaugurated at Civil Hospital Phagwara by MLA. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal and Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal.
Addressing the present citizens MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal said that in view of the difficulties faced by the Punjab government in the second wave of Covid due to lack of oxygen, PSA Based plants are being set up.

He said that 500 LPM was installed at Phagwara. PSA with a capacity of (Pressure Swing Assumption) The plant will be a boon to the people, enabling them to take oxygen from the air and provide it for human health.

The Deputy Commissioner Uppal said that oxygen plants would be set up at Kapurthala and Phagwara, out of which the work of oxygen plant at Kapurthala after Phagwara has been completed which would alleviate the shortage of oxygen in the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Verma, SDM Dr. Shayari Malhotra, Civil Surgeon Parminder Kaur, ITC Representative Amit Sharma, Kulwin Shera and Gurdeep Singh from GNA University, SMO Dr. Lahimbar Ram, Market Committee Chairman Naresh Bhardwaj, City President Congress Sanjeev Bugga etc. were present on the occasion.
