PATIALA: The Patiala Locomotive Works Sports Association organized 33rd All India Railway Cricket (Women) Championship 2022-23 at PLW Cricket Stadium from 10.4.23 to 16.4.23.
Eight teams from various Railways of Indian Railways participated in the championship..Approx. 11 prominent female International Level cricketers including Former Indian captain Ms Mithali Dorai Raj participated in this championship.
During the final match between NR ( Northern Railway) and NCR ( North central Railway) NCR made 195 runs in 50 overs by 9 wickets and NR made 196 runs in 44.5 overs by 8 wickets. NR won the trophy by 2 wickets.
Ashok Kumar Principal Chief Administrative Officer, Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala Chief Guest during the closing ceremony of the tournament gave away the trophy to NR winner team and runner up trophy NCR Team and also gave trophies to the best players. Northern Railway won this trophy after 20 years.
