Nawanshahr tops in Punjab with 0.05 percent pendency in Public Centric Services

NAWANSHARHR: The Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar has once again attained first position in the Punjab with lowest pendency in public centric services offered through Sewa Kendras.

In a latest ranking report released, district had only 0.05 percent pendency of applications in Sewa Kendras from April 21, 2021 and April 20, 2022.

Divulging the details, DC Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that SBS Nagar had received 135280 applications in Sewa Kendras from April 21, 2021 and April 20, 2022 and 69 applications were pending beyond the stipulated timeline.

He said that 913 applications were rejected and 376 were sent back on the account of inappropriate information or documents. He said that 3480 applications were in the process and remaining applications were disposed of on time.

He lauded the officials and employees for their earnest efforts towards promptly delivering the services to the people in Sewa Kendras and added that they had worked really hard and overnight to clear the pendency.

DC told that the administration was committed to redress the applications of the people within set time-bound manner.

NPS Randhawa asserted that the administration would leave no stone unturned to facilitate the people by settling their applications within set timeframe.

He told that clear directions had been given to staff to strictly adhere to deliver the services to the people timely and exhorted them to continue to exhibit same zeal and passion towards their duties.
