AMRITSAR: The working committee headed by Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib on behalf of Sarbatt Khalsa has welcomed the decision of the National Sikh Museum to display a portrait of Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar, a martyr declared as Akal Takhat Sahib in 2012.
The leaders of the Hawara Committee said in a meeting that in this regard former presidents Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal and Bibi Jagir Kaur were given memorandam which have now been polished which is a matter of happiness for the Sikh community.
The committee leaders hoped that the great sacrifice of Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar would guide future generations. To preserve the Sikh heritage, he demanded that the national warriors who were martyred in the current Sikh struggle, Jathedar Sukhdev Singh Babbar, Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal, Bhai Gurjant Singh Budh Singh Wala, Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar, Bhai Gurjant Singh Rajasthani, Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma, Pictures of Bhai Navneet Singh Qadian etc. should also be displayed in the Central Sikh Museum.
The Hawara Committee advised the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Akali Dal (SGPC) officials to publish a booklet to provide information about the pictures in the museum so that the sangat could get complete information.
At the same time the committee leaders appealed to all the Panthic organizations to arrive at the Central Sikh Museum on 14th June at 11:00 am to be installed at the Central Sikh Museum. Baldev Singh Nawapind, Mukhtiar Singh Khalsa, Daljit Singh Gill were present.
