SANOUR/PATIALA:As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Under the supervision of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ajay Tewari, Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali and under the able guidance of Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, Learned District & Sessions Judge, cum Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, Special Campaign on 17.9.2021 for providing legal services to the common citizens was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Patiala.
On this occasion, Seminars/Webinars/Legal Assistance programmes through mobile van and Legal Aid Clinics were held with the collaboration of offices of District Food and Civil Supplies, District Child Protection officer, Child Development and Project Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner and District Programme officer in various Villages i.e. villages of Block Sanaur, Block Bhunerheri, village Jhandi, Village Jaalla, villages of Nabha, Rajpura and Samana. Further during the Legal Services Camp at Bhunarheri, 35 forms for issuance of Smart Ration Card, 71 forms for pension to Senior Citizens, 03 forms for pension to physically disabled persons, 10 forms for widow pension scheme, 07 forms for Sponsorship Scheme and 09 forms for issuance of Labour Beneficiary Card were filled. Mobile van was deployed in various villages of Bhunerheri Block and Sanaur Block.
During these programmes/Seminars/Webinars General Public was made aware about Free legal Aid, Permanent Lok Adalat(PUS), Toll Free no. 1968, Legal Services App, advantages of Mediation, upcoming National Lok Adalat to be held on 11.12.2021 and benefits of Lok Adalat. Films/documentaries of NALSA were shown to the common citizens about the various access to Justice programme under implementation. Further Legal Advice was given to people with the help of Panel Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers.
