PATNA: Three young men were killed and three others seriously injured in a high-speed collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Deoghar-Sultanganj main road in Bihar’s Banka district early Saturday morning, police said.
Raju Kumar, the SHO of Jalebiyamod police station, said that the accident took place around 6 a.m. near Bijjikheirwa village, under the jurisdiction of the Jalebiyamod Police Station in Banka district.
A high-speed collision between a car and a motorcycle claimed the lives of three young men on the spot, he said.
According to eyewitness accounts, both vehicles were traveling at dangerously high speeds, effectively turning the public road into a racetrack. The impact of the collision was so intense that the motorcycle was completely shattered, with its parts flung across the road.
The deceased -- Surendra Sah, Rupesh Sah, and Baleshwar Sah -- were all young men from the same extended family, residents of Babarjhop village. Their sudden deaths have plunged their families into deep mourning, extinguishing the hopes of three households in an instant.
