AMRITSAR: Khalsa University (KU) has introduced the Diploma in Pharmacy from the current 2025-26 academic session for 60 seats. The course was started following the mandatory approval from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), which gave its approval following the rigrous inspectiosn by the experts team from apex body governing Pharmacy education.
KU Pro-Chancellor Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and vice chancellor Dr.Mehal Singh felicitated Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical and Allied Health Sciences Dr. RK Dhawan today saying that the approval given from PCI was a huge achievement for the varsity. They said the new course will benefit hundreds of students in the border region and outside who seek profession course in the subject.
The two years Diploma will course will have 60 seats and admission has begun for the course, said Dr. Dhawan who thanked the management for extending support to deveopl educational infrstrcuture for the faculty. He also informed that apart from this, Khalsa College of Pharmacy has also received approval from the PCI to increase its seats from 60 to 100 seats from the session 2025-26 and a new Pharm D. (Post-Baccalaureate) program with 10 seats has also been approved.
