KAITHAL: On October 27, 2023, Crime Investigation Branch-1 Kaithal received information that a criminal carrying a reward of Rs five thousand along with his associates was hiding in village Karora, District Kaithal, on which information a naka was laid by Chief Constable Tarsem Kumar along with his associates. During the blockade, the police had an encounter with the criminals and a criminal opened fire on Chief Constable Tarsem.
Despite being injured by the bullet, HC Tarsem did not give up his courage and the infamous bounty hunter Sagar was caught on the spot. Head Constable Tarsem displayed bravery by risking his life and set an example for the common man and the society, bringing glory to the police department. For his encouragement, Chief Constable Tarsem Kumar was honored by Satendra Kumar Gupta, Inspector General of Police, Karnal Division, by giving a certificate of appreciation to HC Tarsem Kumar and Rs 5000 in cash.
