AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the registration of a case against Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Interim Member Baldev Singh Qaimpur and others by the Haryana Police.
Advocate Dhami said that instead of arresting Baljit Singh Daduwal and his associates who came to forcibly occupy Miri Piri Medical College Shahbad Markanda, which is functioning under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the police is playing in the favor of the accused by registering a case against the representatives of the institution. He said that it seems that instead of stopping the oppression of such people, the governments are giving silent consent. Advocate Dhami said that this medical college is functioning for the convenience of the people of Haryana and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee gives crores of rupees every year to support it.
He asked the Haryana government to immediately cancel the FIR filed against the office bearers of the Shiromani Committee and ensure action against those who committed acts of forcible occupation.
