Punjab irrigation retd.engineers association donates re. 7.51b lakh for chief ministes's relife fund

CHANDIGARH:President kl nhargava hands over cheques to brahm mohindra....Responding to the appeal of Punjab Government to extend all possible financial help to the needy affected by natural calamities in the state, a delegation of Punjab Irrigation Retd. Engineers Association led by its Founder and Life President KL Bhargava here on Wednesday donated Rs.7.51 lakh to towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Cheques worth Rs.7, 51, 700/- from the 110 members of the association on this count were presented to the Local Government Minister Brahm Mohindra by KL Bhargava, who was accompanied by Senior Office bearers of the association.

Welcoming the initiative taken by the association, Brahm Mohindra said that this enormous contribution especially from the retired employees would go a long way in mitigating the extreme hardships faced by the victims of natural calamities befallen on them from time to time besides providing much needed succor to the affected families in the hour of crises.

Brahm Mohindra further said that it was our bounden duty to help the needy and urged one and all to donate generously for such philanthropic causes.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included; Revenue Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Medical Education & Research Minister OP Soni besides Chief Advisor Er. Narinder Sharma, Working President SL Vinayak and Finance Secretary Er. Gurpal Singh.
