Five miscreants booked for kidnapping assaulting youth
PHAGWARA: The Mehatpur police have booked five miscreants for kidnapping and assaulting a youth.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Soni, Jugraj ,Bachi,Sonu residents of Dharme Dian Chhana village and Bagga of Umre Wal village.
Lovpreet Singh a resident of Kayam Wala village, complained to the police that the accused and their four unidentified accomplices kidnapped him at the point of a pistol and took him to the River Sutlej side and assaulted him there and threatened.
IO said a case under section 140(3)(kidnapping with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person )115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt ) 126(2( wrongful restraint )351(2)(criminal intimidation) 191(3) 190( rioting +unlawful assembly ) of the BNS and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused and their four unidentified accomplices .
