Faculty Development Programme on “Advanced Analytical Techniques” at NIPER from August 17 to 21

MOHALI: The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar, is organizing a five-days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Advanced Analytical Techniques” from 17th to 21stAugust 2026 for faculty members of Government Polytechnic Colleges of Punjab.
The programme is being organized in collaboration with the Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Government of Punjab. The objective of this programme is to strengthen the technical knowledge and practical understanding of advanced analytical techniques among faculty members.
A total of 15 faculty members from Government Polytechnic Colleges across Punjab are participating in the programme. The five-days programme will include expert lectures by the faculty members of NIPER, interactive technical sessions and practical exposure to advanced analytical facilities available at NIPER. Various analytical techniques, including LCMS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) HRMS (High Resolution Mass Spectrometry), NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy), Thermal Analysis and other sophisticated analytical techniques, will be discussed, with emphasis on their principles, instrumentation, applications and interpretation of analyticaldata.The programme aims to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical applications and to enhance the teaching capabilities of participating faculty members. The knowledge and skills acquired during the FDP will further support the participants in imparting quality technical education and practical training to students at their respective institutions.
The programme is being coordinated by Prof. Inder Pal Singh and Prof. Sankar K Guchhait, Course Coordinators, NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar.
The coordinators highlighted that the FDP is an important initiative for capacity building and knowledge sharing between NIPER and Government Polytechnic Colleges of the State. The programme is expected to contribute towards the professional development of faculty members and further strengthen technical education and analytical science capabilities across Punjab.
