AMRITSAR: Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Amritsar Gurjit Singh Aujla was warmly welcomed on his arrival in Amritsar today. Senior Congress leaders, Thousands of supporters reached the railway station and welcomed him with flowers, firecrackers and slogans.
As soon as Gurjit Singh Aujla reached Amritsar, he got down from the train and first bowed in front of the model of Sri Darbar Sahib installed at the railway station. After that he came out and took the blessings of his mother Jageer Kaur. He eats the prasad and jal given by them and then came out of the sunroof of the car and thanked everyone. During this time, his son Babar Aujla and brother Sukh Aujla also remained with him.
On arrival of MP Gurjit Singh Aujla in Amritsar, senior Congress leaders, supporters and people welcomed him with drums and flowers and firecrackers at Amritsar Railway Station. Inside he was garlanded with flowers and outside his supporters’ burst crackers and gave strong support.
Gurjit Singh Aujla, who has been a two-time Congress MP, dedicated the ticket he got for the Lok Sabha elections for the third time to the people of Guru Nagri and the holy lakes. He said that if people continue to have faith in him this time too, more work will be done. He is always present for his city and will stand with the people in their happiness and sorrow.
Thanking the crowd gathered at the railway station, Gurjit Singh Aujla said that victory will be registered for the third time also. The Government will be formed with India Alliance and the Constitution of the country will be saved. He said that his supporters and the people of Amritsar are with him and he has full confidence that these supporters and people will lead him to victory. He has scored a hat-trick by getting the ticket, so now he will score a hat-trick of victory too.
Supporters who reached Amritsar railway station accompanied Gurjit Singh to Aujla's office. This welcome ceremony turned into a road show. Aujla reached his office thanking not only the Congress workers but also the people.
