PHAGWARA : The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a woman on charges of kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.
The investigating officer (IO)Manjit Singh said that the accused has been as Balwinder Kaur wife of Darshan Singh a resident of Nangal Narain Garh village in Kapurthala.
The victim's mother had complained to the police that the accused and her five accomplices kidnapped her minor daughter on the pretext of marriage.
IO said a case under sections 365, 366A, 120-B IPC was registered against the accused and five others.
