NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar police have arrested an Uggi village resident on the charge of outraging woman’s modesty. The investigating officer (IO) and Uggi police post in-charge Sahil Chaudhari said that the accused has been identified as Laadi alias Laati a resident of Uggi village.
The victim’s mother complained to the police the accused assaulted and molested her minor daughter on way to house.
IO said that a case under section 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC and Sections 7, 8 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the accused.
