Two women among twelve booked for attempt to murder, rioting

NAKODAR:The Nakodar sadar police have booked twelve persons including two women on the charge of attempt to murder, criminal intimidation and rioting.The investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Sukhdev Singh a resident of Khunn Khunn village under Jamsher sadar police station , his wife Harnit Kaur and daughter Ramandip Kaur , Sucha Singh a resident of the same village , Hardil Singh a resident of Nadan Pur village under Jamsher sadar police station and their seven unidentified accomplices .

Harjindar Singh a resident of Hamiri Kherra village under Jamsher sadar police station complained to the police that the accused barged into his grocery shop attacked him with dangerous cadged weapons and seriously injured and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said a case under sections 307(attempt to murder) 379(theft) , 323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with weapons), 452(lurking house trespass) 506(criminal intimidation) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
