NURMAHAL: The Bilga police have booked two members of a family in a dowry harassment case.The investigating officer (IO)Harwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Narindar Singh a resident of Jandiala village under Banga police station in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and his father Makhan Singh .
Hardip kaur daughter of Harjindar Singh a resident of Meon Wal village, had filed a complaint to senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband Narindar Singh and father in-law had been harassing her and demanding more and more dowry since her marriage
IO said a case under section 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) has been registered against the accused after an inquiry. No arrests have been made.
