Three members of in-laws family booked for dowry harassment

NURMAHAL:The Bilga police have booked three members of in-laws family for dowry harassmentThe Investigating Officer (IO) Som Nath said that the accused have been identified as Rajindar Singh aias Rouki a resident of Karamsar Colony, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana , his father Balir Singh and mother Kamlesh.

Mamta daughter of Ranjit Kumar a resident of Patti Duniya Mansur, Bilga village complained to the police that her marriage was solemnized with Rajindar Singh who is gay and assaulted her to bring more and more dowry.

IO said that a case under section 406 (breach of trust) and 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry and further investigations are on. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
