NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar arrested two villagers on the charge of selling illicit liquor.The station house officer Vinod Kumar said that 23 bottles of hooch were seized from possession of the accused identified as Jogindar Lal and Gurdev Singh residents of Riabwal village. Cases under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act have registered against the accused.
The Nurmahal police arrested Ranna of Kacha Pakk Veharra with 9 bottles of hooch said investigating officer Amandeep.
The Bilga police booked Chamkaur and Modi residents of Sangowal village and Balkar and Gurdeep Singh of Meonwal village for brewing illicit liquor and recovered 10000 kilograms Lahann (raw liquor) and utensils from their possession said investigating officer Daljit Kumar.
