PHAGWARA: A police inspector lost his life after being hit by a bus on the Phagwara–Hoshiarpur road last night. According to information, Nirmaljeet, a resident of village Lakhpur, stated that while returning home he noticed a man lying injured on the road after being struck by a bus. He immediately rushed the victim to the Civil Hospital, Phagwara, in his private vehicle, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Inspector Rajvinder Singh, a resident of Khushalpur, Hoshiarpur, who was reportedly posted with the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) in Jalandhar. Doctors at the Civil Hospital confirmed that Rajvinder Singh had already succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital. The accident reportedly occurred on the flyover on Hoshiarpur Road.
