NURMAHAL : The Bilga police have arrested a Nakodar village resident on charges of snatching.The investigating officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Harjindar Singh son of Makhan Singh a resident of near bridge Umrewal village under Mehat Pur police station.
IO said that the accused had snatched earrings of Balwindar Kaur wife of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Sangowal village on March 22.
IO said a case under sections 379-B (snatching) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
The police also arrested Nirmal Singh, a resident of Buta village in Kapurthala under the Punjab Excise Act.
