KAPURTHALA: In a swift action Kapurthala Police recoverd a kidnapped minor girls of 16 years from Shimla. The minor girl was kidnapped on Jan 1 this year from Kapurthaala and an FIR No 2 Dated 2nd Jan, 2021 u/s 363, 366-A IPC PS City Kapurthala was registered.
Senior Superintendent of the Police kapurthala Kanwardeep Kaur while confirming it told this correspondent here today that after constant follow up Kapurthala Police arrested the kidnappers and rescued the girl.
The accused was indentified as Daljit singh resident of village Bishanpur PS kotwali Kapurthala. It is pertinent to mention here that the Accused is a habitual offender. SSP said that Earlier in 2019, he had kidnapped a minor girl from jalandhar and an FIR No. 128/19 u/s 363, 366-A IPC PS Division 7 Jalandhar was already registered against him.
Notably, Kapurthala police in month of December has rescued 11 girls who were kidnapped from District kapurthala in 11 different cases.

SHO PS Bholath Kapurthala Amanpreet kaur under the supervision of ASP Sub Division Bholath Sh Ajay Ghandhi IPS has recovered commercial quantity of contraband medicinal drugs and two smugglers have been arrested. The accused has been identified as Harpreet singh R/O Ward No 1 Bholath district Kapurthala and Raj kumar s/o R/O Ward No 1 Bholath District Kapurthala
A case has been registered. Further investigation is on.
