KAPURTHALA:The Kapurthala police today arrested one member of the inter-state Kala Kachha gang from Kapurthala who was previously arrested in a special operation led by DSP Sultanpur Lodhi Sarwan Singh Bal, SHO Sultanpur Lodhi Police Station, SI Harjit Singh.
He said that in 2013 at village Mothowal Kala Kacha gang members had attacked at a house in night with weapons in which 6 persons of 2 families were seriously injured and money and jewelery were looted.
Addressing a press conference, SSP Shri Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh said that the accused was arrested with 9 other gang members during the last operation at village Mothawal and he was lodged in Kapurthala Jail. He jumped bail on Feb 8, 2019 and suspected to had reorganized the gang .
The arrested accused has been identified as Illa son of Mir Hassan resident of House No. 32/11 Nirankari Colony Old Delhi Hall. Presently living at Pilani district Junjanu , Rajasthan.
The arrested accused would be produced in the court by the police and his police remand would be sought to further investigate the matter and trace out the links.
He said that Kapurthala Police is committed for ensuring safety and security of people and their belongings in the villages.
