NURMAHAL: The Nurmahal police have booked Harprit Singh a resident of Ladharr Kalan village under Bilga police station in a dowry harassment case.Complainant Kirandip Kaur, a resident of Ladhar Kalan village had filed a complaint to the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband had been harassing her and demanding more and more dowry since her marriage.
The investigating officer Avtar Lal said a case under Section 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
