LOHIAN:The Lohian Khas police on Saturday claimed to have busted a gang of snatchers with the arrest of its two members. A snatched motorcycle was recovered from their possession.
The Station House Officer (SHO)Balwindar Singh Bhullar said the police has received an information that the accused were roaming in Lohian Khas areas with intention to snatch and were intercepted at a Naka who have been identified as Jora Singh alias Jora a resident Chak Piply village and Jaswindar Singh alias Jass a resident of Khurshiad Pur village under Sidhama Bet police station in Ludhiana .
SHO said that the accused are habitual snatchers and had snatched a bullet motor cycle from Harwindar Singh of Nahl village on April 10 which was sold to Gurjit Singh alias Pili son of Gurnam Singh a resident of Thuth Garh village in Moga just for Rs 8000 .Two wheeler has been recovered from Gurjit Singh’s house who is absconding
SHO said that a case under section323 (voluntarily causing hurt) 379-B (snatching) and further investigation is on.
