PHAGWARA: Three armed unidentified motorcyclist youths shot dead a villager identified as Navjot @ Nav in village Gandhwan near Phagwara on Wednesday night.
The Superintendent of the Police Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti while confirming it told this correspondent here late tonight that Navjot was standing before his house when the accused struck and opened fire upon him.He was brought to local civil hospital where he was declared brought dead.Personal enmity was said to be the cause of murder, said SP Bhatti.
She told that the police have registered a case under section 302, 34 IPC and arms act against the killers who managed to flee after the firing.
