Four arrested for murdering Nakodar village youth

NAKODAR:The Nakodar sadar police have arrested four persons on the charge of murdering a youth of Mujaffar Pur village Abhishek Sahota whose body was found dumped near the bridge of Vein (rivulet) near Bajuha village on September 9.

Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police(SSP) Doctor Sandeep Kumar Garg told media that the accused have been identified ast Raja son of Balvir Singh, Pawitar alias Pitar son of Massu Ram and Jogindar Pal alias Ravi son of Paramjit residents of Mujaffar Pur village and Paramjit alias Parra son of Tarsem Lal a resident of Chak Muglanni village.

Charanjit Singh a resident of New Adarsh Nagar Nakodar had complained to the police that his brother-in-law Abhishek Sahota came to meet him at Nakodar on September 8 and in the evening went to meet his friend Ravi and both went to Chak Muglanni village to meet Raja who is looking after a house of NRI there.

He had said in his complaint that other accused also reached there and after taking dinner at a Nakodar Dhaba all returned back and all the accused quarrelled with Abhishek and with the intention to kill administered some poisonous substance to his brother-in-law who became unconscious and all the accused dumped the deceased in Vein with his scooter on September 8 midnight.

SSP said that a case under sections 302(murder) 201(causing disappearance of evidence of murder) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused.
