CBI registers case against Commissioner of CGST on possessing disproportionate assets

NEW DELHI:he Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Rajagopal Manohar, IRS the then Commissioner of Customs, Marmagoa, Goa on the allegations of possessing Disproportionate Assets to the tune of Rs.1, 39, 34, 906/- (approx).

This was alleged by the Spokesperson of the CBI R.K.Gaur. He said that the said public servant while working as Commissioner of Customs during the period from 01.01.2011 to 26.09.2019 at various places had amassed the disproportionate assets, both movable & immovable in his name and in the name of his family members, to the tune of Rs.1, 39, 34, 906/- (approx).

Gauer said that Searches were conducted at Salem (Tamil Nadu) and Vishakhapatnam which resulted in the recovery of several incriminating documents related to investments including plots, flats, jewelry, etc. The investigation is continuing.
