Two RBU students selected for internship at ISRO

MOHALI: Two students of Rayat Bahra University from its Department of Physics, pursuing M.Sc. in Astronomy and Astrophysics, have been selected for a prestigious three-month internship at the Space Applications Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ahmedabad.

During the internship, the students Sarmistha kar &Lakshay Dhiman will gain hands-on experience and have the unique opportunity to work alongside renowned ISRO scientists engaged in critical space missions and projects. This selection highlights the academic excellence and practical training provided by the Department of Physics at Rayat Bahra University.

Dr. Manoj Bali, Dean, University School of Sciences, and Dr MS Mehta, Head of the Department of Physics, congratulated the students and said that the importance of the experience gained in the frontline institution will significantly contribute to their professional growth and inspire more students to explore research and innovation in the field of space science.

Chancellor of the University Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr SK Bansal extended their best wishes to the students, emphasising that this achievement reflects Rayat Bahra University’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering industry-academic collaborations in frontier areas of science and technology.
