Three-day International Pathology Conference begins at Government Medical College Amritsar

AMRITSAR: The AIPNA-ICP-2026 International Pathology Conference began today at Government Medical College Amritsar. The three-day International Pathology Conference was inaugurated by the state's Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research Minister Dr. Balbir Singh. Leading pathologists, medical educators, researchers and healthcare professionals from all over the world are participating in this conference. Organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Pathologists in North America (AIPNA) and the Indian College of Pathologists (ICP), this conference will prove to be a significant milestone in promoting international collaboration in the field of pathology.

Inaugurating the three-day International Pathology Conference, Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that this conference being held on the holy City of Amritsar will make a significant contribution in implementing new research and techniques in the field of pathology.

He said that the objective of the conference is to provide a dynamic platform for sharing cutting-edge research, innovative diagnostic techniques and transformative educational practices. He said that the knowledge that pathology experts are sharing among themselves by participating in this conference will greatly benefit the medical field. During this, he also spoke about the rich heritage of Government Medical Amritsar and the importance of pathology in the field of medicine.

On this occasion, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh also shared information about the revolutionary initiatives taken by the Punjab government in the health sector. He said that along with major improvements in the infrastructure of government health institutions in the state, high-tech treatment equipment has been provided.
