AMRITSAR: An ICSSR sponsored workshop on "Data Protection and Localisation" was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science, Khalsa College for Women. The main focus of the workshop was to disseminate the findings and observations of the ICSSR project, entitled "An Empirical Study based on the Violation of Data Protection and Privacy of Underprivileged Society residing in the Border Belt of Punjab", said Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur.
Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh in his opening remarks said that the exponential growth of data has generated new challenges and protection of data has become a major issue in all societies. Dr. Hardeep Singh, HoD, Department of Computer Sciences, GNDU in his keynote address narrated various methods and techniques for protection of data and localization. Dr. Kuljit Kaur, Dr. Parminder Kaur, Dr. Amit Kauts, Dr. Baljit Kaur, Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Nanjit Singh were present at the event.
