AMRITSAR: The Post Graduate Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Khalsa College Amritsar organized an Open Mic Competition. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh said the motive was to provide a platform for the youth to showcase their prowess as future journalists.
He also added that due to their busy lifestyles, young people do not get time to develop their hobbies or creative abilities, so keeping these reasons in mind, the college organizes such events to enhance the art of the students. On this occasion, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, Dean of Arts and Head of the Department Dr. Sania Marwaha said that Open Mic is a platform that is giving an opportunity to emerging poets, storytellers and comedians to showcase their talent. Prof. Soundarya Kochhar, Prof. Surbhi Sharma, Prof. Bhavni Khanna, Prof. Hari Singh, Prof. Jaskirat Singh and Prof. Harjit Singh were present.
