CHANDIGARH: Panjab University, Chandigarh has extended the last date for submission of entries for its Reel Making Competition and Photo Contest being organised on the theme “Life at PU”.
The competitions will now remain open till 10 February 2026 up to 3.00 pm. The decision has been taken in response to requests received from participants and with a view to ensuring wider participation.
The competitions is aimed to creatively capture the academic, cultural and social vibrancy of Panjab University through reels and photographs. The contests are open to students, alumni, staff members and the general public, with no age bar.
The Reel Making Competition carries prizes of Rs 10, 000 for first position, Rs 7, 000 for second position and five consolation prizes of Rs 1, 000 each. The Photo Contest offers prizes of Rs 5, 000 for first position, Rs 3, 000 for second position and five consolation prizes of Rs 1, 000 each.
Participants are required to mandatorily fill all sections of the Google registration form, the link for which is available on PU’s social media platform and PU website. For the photography category, submission of a hard copy printed in 12 x 18 inches is essential for final eligibility and must be submitted to the DPR Office, Ground Floor, Room No. 29, Administrative Block, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh, by 3.00 pm on 10 February 2026. Soft copies of photographs must be submitted in JPEG format with a minimum file size of 1 MB, while reels should be submitted in 9:16 vertical format with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Participants submitting only photographs may enter “Not Applicable” in the reel section and upload a blank video file, as specified in the guidelines.
