Khalsa College Amritsar awarded A+ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.

AMRITSAR: Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) has been awarded A+ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.
A Peer Team comprising of Dr. Jamuna Duvvru, Former Vice Chancellor, Padmavati Mahila Vishvavidyalya, Trupti, Andhra Pradesh as Chairperson, Dr. G. Arun Maiya, Dean, Manipal College of Health Professions, Manipal, Karnataka as Member Coordinator and Dr. Prashanka Kumar Patra, Former Principal, College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odishs as Member visited the heritage College for onsite assessment of various facilities.

The Peer team assessed the performance of the College in seven criteria including Curricular Aspects, Teaching, Learning and Evaluation, Research and Consultancy, Infrastructure, Student Support and Progression, Governance and Leadership and Best Practices. The College excelled in all the parameters and was awarded overall A+ grade, said Principal Dr.Mehal Singh.

Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated the Principal, staff, students and worldwide spread College alumni for the remarkable achievement. He said it was their sheer hard work and dedication to academics that such distinction has been achieved. The congratulations poured from all corners as alumni and well-wishers of the 1892 built historic College are spread internationally, said he.

Dr. Mehal Singh thanked KCGC President Satyajit Singh Majithia, RMS Chhina, Office Bearers and all Members of management for their continuous encouragement and guidance. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Taminder Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs and College’s Co-ordination team for the untiring efforts in the preparation and presentation of the achievements of the College to the NAAC Peer Team. The Peer Team in its report has lauded the efforts of the College in every aspect, particularly in community services, protection of environment, physical facilities, women empowerment and student support.
