KCVAS conducts special LSD camp

AMRITSAR:A lumpy skin disease awareness camp was organised by Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Baba Bhodewala Gaushala, Ram Tirath, Amritsar. The event was lead by Dr. Harish Verma, Principal along with Drs. Sankalp Sharma Associate Professor, Dr. Himalaya Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor of KCVAS and 20 students of internship. The seva samiti and caretakers of Gaushala were made aware about the recent outbreak of Lumpy Skin disease and management.

During the visit, all the animals affected with lumpy disease and other diseased animals were treated by the KCVAS doctors and an awareness lecture was delivered to aware the caretakers while maintaining the animals during this outbreak of Capripox virus. In the question-answer all the queries of the participants were cleared.

To keep animals healthy the importance of Mineral mixture feeding and balanced ration was stressed. Principal along with KCVAS team was given rousing reception and honoured by the Organisers of the Samiti. The Organisers of Samiti lauded the role and initiative of the Principal for such a fruitful visit to the Gaushala and hoped for similar visits in future. Principal thanked the Organisers of Samiti for their whole heartily cooperation during the awareness camp visit and assured them to continue such visits in future. It is important to mention that the Gaushala has been adopted by KCVAS, Amritsar for helping them in keeping the cattle healthy and disease free.
